Elsevier webinars for academic staff and other researchers (Day 2)
Target Group for the day: College of Art and Built Environment & College of Humanities and Social Sciences
The University Library in collaboration with Elsevier will be organizing college-based webinars for academic staff and other researchers on the use of ScienceDirect, Scopus, Mendeley and SciVal from Monday, 14th to Wednesday, 16th October, 2019.
The focus of the webinars will be on Elsevier products and the knowledge cycle, using ScienceDirect to find relevant journal and book content, using free referencing manager to create researcher’s own library of resources, writing and citing references, finding grant and career opportunities, collaborating with other researchers, and the benefits of publishing in journals indexed by Scopus.
A face-to-face training by a consultant from Elsevier will follow the three webinars on Wednesday, 23rd October, 2019 at the IDL Conference Center where management of the colleges will be expected to join in the training on ScienceDirect, Scopus, Mendeley and SciVal and have their questions answered.
