KNUST Library System Undertakes Benchmarking Tour

In May 2026, the KNUST Library System, led by the University Librarian, Dr. Richard Bruce Lamptey, undertook a three-day benchmarking tour of Ashesi University, Wisconsin International University College (WIUC), the University of Ghana’s Balme Library, and the University of Cape Coast’s Sam Jonah Library.

The tour provided an opportunity to explore innovative library technologies, user-centred spaces, research support services, inclusive library practices, scholarly communication, and emerging applications of Artificial Intelligence.

The knowledge and best practices gained will inform ongoing efforts to strengthen nnovation, digital transformation, inclusivity, and user-focused services across the KNUST Library System.
