The KNUST Library System has held a farewell meeting for National Service Personnel (NSPs) who have served within the Library System over the past ten months.

Led by the University Librarian, Dr. Richard Bruce Lamptey, the meeting provided an opportunity for the Library System to engage the NSPs in an open and constructive conversation about their experiences, contributions, challenges, and lessons learned during their period of national service.

The engagement also served as a platform for the NSPs to provide feedback and make suggestions aimed at improving the experience and effectiveness of future National Service Personnel within the KNUST Library System.

NSPs Share Experiences and Recommendations

During the session, the National Service Personnel reflected on their various assignments and contributions to the operations and services of the Library System. They openly shared some of the challenges they encountered during their period of service and proposed practical suggestions for addressing them.

Key areas raised included the need for improved orientation and training for newly posted NSPs, effective communication and supervision, workplace support, and opportunities for professional development.

The NSPs also commended the KNUST Library System for the support, exposure, and opportunities they received throughout their service. Their contributions and feedback provided valuable insights that could inform future approaches to the engagement and management of National Service Personnel.

University Librarian Commends NSPs

In his remarks, the University Librarian, Dr. Richard Bruce Lamptey, expressed appreciation to the National Service Personnel for their dedication, commitment, and contributions to the KNUST Library System throughout their ten-month service.
